Privacy notice

voiMarkable is an independent project by Sean Song. This notice covers the progress-update form on this site. voiMarkable is not affiliated with reMarkable AS.

Short version: the form collects your email and the setup choices you submit so I can send relevant project updates and decide which combinations to test. The list is not sold. Every update has an unsubscribe link.

What the form collects

• Your email address.
• The reMarkable model, Mac category, and handwritten-meeting frequency you select.
• Your explicit choice to receive voiMarkable progress notes and research questions.
• The date of consent and a limited source/campaign label, such as the Reddit post, profile link, or ad path that brought you here.
• Random confirmation and unsubscribe tokens. The tokens are not derived from your email address.

The form does not collect your reMarkable files, handwriting, meeting audio, transcripts, contacts, or payment information.

Anonymous arrival counts

Tracked campaign links increment one aggregate count for a campaign label and UTC date. The voiMarkable counter does not store a cookie, IP address, user agent, referrer, or per-visitor record. Hosting and network providers may still process ordinary connection metadata to operate and secure their services.

How the information is used

• Send the progress notes and research questions you requested.
• Choose which reMarkable and Mac combinations to test next.
• Keep updates relevant to the setup you submitted.
• Measure which Reddit paths produce consented, setup-complete signups.
• Honor confirmation and unsubscribe requests.

The information is not sold or rented, and it is not used to build a behavioral-advertising profile.

Storage and service providers

The site and waitlist database are hosted with Cloudflare. An email provider may process your address when a requested update is delivered. These providers process information to host the form, protect it, store the submission, or deliver the email; they are not given the list for their own marketing.

Unsubscribe, correction, and deletion

Every progress email includes an opaque unsubscribe link. Using it changes the subscription status so the address is excluded from future sends. You can also reply to any voiMarkable update to request correction or deletion.

If you have not received an update yet, contact the project owner through u/oldsongwin. Do not post your email address publicly; send it only in a private message when it is needed to locate the record.

Retention and changes

Subscription records are kept while the project needs them to provide requested updates, measure the acquisition experiment, and maintain unsubscribe state. A deletion request removes the associated personal record; a minimal suppression record may be retained when necessary to avoid sending again.

If this notice changes materially, the updated date and text will change here. A new use that is incompatible with the original progress-update consent will require a new choice rather than being silently added.
